Counseling is a courageous act. You’re letting a stranger into the more intimate details of your life and family. I like to let people know a little about me.
My name is Brent Sweitzer and I’m a Professional Counselor. Since 2010 I’ve been helping couples, individuals, teens and kids improve their relationships and better cope with the challenges they face. I invite you to learn more about my background and training.
What Makes Us a Good Fit?
Counseling is so much more than just talking (or in the case of children, playing). Some things that make Sweitzer Counseling unique are:
Treatment rooted in research and experience
There is a science to therapy, and I have sought training in approaches rooted in the science of change and healing. I’ve also invested considerable energy and resources in my own psychotherapy.
I seek ongoing training and consultation
Research has shown that therapists provide the best care by regularly consulting with other trusted colleagues and by getting ongoing quality training. I regularly participate in paid and peer consultation. I also invest in training rooted in cutting-edge brain research that deepens my knowledge and experience.
practice management software that makes it easy to securely communicate with me outside of sessions, share important documents, and schedule sessions when it’s convenient for you.
